We Did a Lakeside Bachelorette Workout & It Was the Perfect Way to Start the Weekend
By Amy · Private Events · Dallas, TX
Twelve girls. Pink outfits. A patio overlooking the lake. Taylor Swift on the playlist. And a yoga sculpt class that left everyone sweaty, happy, and ready to celebrate Megan.
When Megan reached out about adding a fitness experience to her bachelorette weekend, she knew exactly what she wanted — something sweet, fun, and accessible for the whole group, with a playlist to match her vibe. The group was mostly beginners, the setting was a gorgeous lakeside patio, and the dress code was pink (except for the bride, of course).
Here’s how we made it work — and why a private bachelorette workout might be the best addition to your weekend that you haven’t thought of yet.
The setup
The group of twelve set up their mats on the patio with a lake view as the backdrop — honestly one of my favorite settings I’ve ever taught in. Megan had one specific request for the playlist: love songs only, to match her sweet bachelorette energy. So I curated a full set heavy on Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, and it set exactly the right tone from the first song.
The workout
Megan wanted a bodyweight yoga sculpt class — no equipment, nothing intimidating, but still a real workout. With a mixed group of beginners and more experienced movers, I built the session so every single person could participate fully, offering modifications throughout without ever making anyone feel called out.
We moved through a full-body flow — yoga-inspired sequences layered with sculpt strength work, all timed to the playlist. By the end, everyone was glowing (sweaty is the word, but glowing sounds better for a bachelorette recap).
Why it works as a bachelorette activity
A morning workout is genuinely one of the best ways to kick off a bachelorette weekend. Everyone feels good, endorphins are high, and you’ve earned everything that comes after. It photographs beautifully — pink outfits, matching mats, a scenic backdrop — and it gives the group something to bond over before the day really starts.
For Megan’s group, the session was the perfect start to a chill lake day — low key, high vibe, and exactly what she wanted. We finished class, rolled up our mats, and the rest of the day was theirs.
“Amy was the perfect addition to our bachelorette weekend. She made the class so fun, approachable, and personalized to our group, and it was such a fun way to start the day together. The playlist, the energy, and the workout were all exactly what I had hoped for — everyone loved it.”
